Update & Holiday

I've not posted in months so I thought I should say something at least. I've been away for the last two weeks on holidays up in Queensland on both the Gold and Sunshine Coast. My knee is now better and my only real problem is my hip, but I'm managing.
To be completely honest, I have not progressed at all, in fact, I have gotten worse and lost a lot of my confidence because I hadn't done anything for maybe about 2-3 months because of my knee. But I still managed to try and do my best and this time, for the first time ever, I brought a Video Camera! SO I went and got all these tapes and it turns out I didn't really use them, but I did get about 10 minutes  of footage but nothing worth making a fuss of though.
One thing I was really proud of was the fact I attempted my very first backflip! I was walking along the beach for a walk with my Dad and he said "Go and do a backflip off that rail." I said "What?!!!" I thought he was joking but he was serious, I knew I could do it without difficulty but its one thing to be physically able to do it and mentally able to do it. So I took my Dad to the sand and told him how to Spot a person. We practiced for 10 minutes in front of my brother who had the camera on him. I was getting confident, still not confident enough to flip off a rail (it was about 1 meter 20) but still enough to keep going, that was until I landed on my neck. I couldn't do much for the rest of the day because it caused so much pain.
While up on the Sunshine Coast, I saw a guy (called Adam) showing off his flips and tricks, running up a wall and backflipping, jumping down a flight of 30 stairs and so I went up and asked if he did parkour. He did but has never attended a class. In the end he ended up helping me with my backflips. I still had a spotter but was doing all the work and they were just there for my confidence, then he took me to the wall and helped me there, in the end, I backflipped from about 1 meter up the wall and landed, unfortunately I did not have the camera at the time and I never met him again.
On the way home we stopped at a beach at Coffs Harbor (about 6 hours from Sydney and 5 hours from the Gold Coast) and there I did a flip on my own without my Dad. I'm so pleased and I know I will get better with them as for parkour, I will be starting to attend training sessions and sessions a lot form now on.
Here is a quick video of two of my flips, they are not the best ones but the only ones I could find for the time, the first one is probably my 8th ever attempt, and I think Dad did a bit of the work but I am better now, the lat one is my injury, it doesn't look that bad in this video, but thats because of the camera angle, it really was a bad landing.
Enjoy (sort of???)
